The Industry Business School (IBS) aims to achieve one of the most important aspects of the mission of Technology and Management School (ESTG) of the Polytechnic of Porto, namely the contribution to the socio-economic development of the territory where it operates, the region of Tâmega and Sousa. Being the only Higher Education public Institution in this territory, we assume with great determination the responsibility of being at the service of the business community that is so strong in this region. Thus, IBS arises to provide a fundamental service to companies, being focused on training specially designed to respond to their needs.

Industry Business School is the business School pioneering in specialized education in region of Tâmega e Sousa with a particular focus on the challenges faced by Small and Medium Sized Enterprises.
With a strong link with the region’s players, the Industry Business School promotes synergies between the established business fabric and the scientific and academic potential, thus guaranteeing a training offer of excellence, geared to the challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises in the region.
With a specialized faculty, together with invited professors from the business context, the Industry Business School positions itself as a pioneer in teaching the most diverse management topics, offering, for this purpose, curricular plans that are differentiated and inspired by the best international practices.

Fábio Duarte
Adjunct Professor at School of Management and Technology of Polytechnic of Porto and at Porto Accounting and Business School of Polytechnic of Porto.
Doctorate in Economics in the branch of finance from the University of Beira Interior, has several publications in the area of corporate finance. He worked as a consultant and administrator of companies in the technology sector.
Ana Borges
Adjunct Professor at School of Management and Technology of Polytechnic of Porto.
Doctorate in Sciences, specialty of Mathematics, from the University of Minho. Extensive scientific experience in mathematical and statistical modeling applied to several areas of management and health. Having held management positions at ESTG|P.PORTO.
Eliana Costa e Silva
Adjunct Professor at School of Management and Technology of Polytechnic of Porto.
Doctorate in Electronics and Computer Engineering, from the University of Minho. Extensive scientific experience in mathematical and statistical modeling applied to various areas of management and engineering. Having held management positions at ESTG|P.PORTO.
